This is a free event but seats must be reserved. Book your space and bring the family & a face-mask for some fun, frolics and Shakespeare!

A riotous compilation of Shakespeare's most famous stories, performed by local professional actors and musicians in Waltham Forest's outdoor public spaces... with a socially distanced twist.

All the romance of Romeo and Juliet but the lovers must remain 2-metres apart, which you - the audience - will need to help with!

Enjoy a wild 30 minute ride of live music, physical theatre and comedy... FOR FREE!

Joe Bence - Compere


Joe has been a professional actor, musician, and cabaret host for the last four years. His professional credits include: Lord Dismiss Us (Above the Stag), The Tempest (Royal & Derngate), Romeo and Juliet: The Experiment (site-specific production), UKIP The Musical (Waterloo East Theatre), TuManz (Leicester Square Theatre), Brecht's Fleischhacker (Guest Projects), and Saturday (Karamel Club). Film credits include: Never Going to Beat You (Michael Buckman), See the Animal, and B-Sides & Rarities. Joe is very excited to be your hosting proceedings for 2 Metres To Shakespeare.

Rosie Ward - Quince


Rosie trained in Acting at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Roberta Livingston - Juliet


Roberta Livingston is a Waltham Forest based actor and writer, trained both in London and New York, she has gone on to appear in productions in venues such as Theatre Royal Stratford East and the National Theatre. She was a part of the 2019 cohort for Creative England/Sky Arts shortFLIX initiative.

Ursula Early - Bottom


Acting: Ursula trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Her TV credits include: Eastenders, Doctors, The Bill, Life Begins and several independent films. Stage credits include: The Endings (Soho Theatre & Nottingham Playhouse), Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Elbows, (Arts Theatre/Theatre Royal Stratford East), Surplus Women (Theatre Royal Bath Ustinov), Powerhouse, Last Manor Standing and The Power Of Love (Pleasance Theatre, London & Edinburgh), Wives As They Were Maids As They Are and Animal Magnetism (Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds and Haymarket, Basingstoke), Much Ado About Nothing and Twelfth Night (Cambridge Shakespeare Company), Guests (Hall For Cornwall), Master Of Mayhem (Eastern Angles), Just For Fun (New End Theatre), Diamond (Kings Head), Blame (Sphinx Theatre Company – Tour), The Glimmer (Bristol Old Vic Studio) and many more.


Producing and Directing: Alongside being one of the founders and directors of ELSF she is director for Waltham Forest based theatre and community company Blackhorse Arts. She is also Producer and Programmer for Walthamstow’s performance venue CentreE17.

Michael Lyle trained at ALRA.
