As we go into our first week of performances, we have one more very exciting announcement…

We are utterly over the moon to announce that the powerhouse that is Josie Lawrence is now a patron of East London Shakespeare Festival.

“I’m so excited and proud to become a patron of the East London Shakespeare Festival.

As a great lover (and performer) of Shakespeare, it’s amazing to see his works brought directly to East London communities.

I really enjoyed their 2024 Much Ado About Nothing, and it was wonderful to see an audience of all ages - 5-year-olds sitting cross-legged at the front, completely enthralled, alongside older generations. It truly was Shakespeare for everyone!

Their production and the cast’s performances were joyous and brilliant. I look forward to seeing and championing their future projects and productions.”
