ELSF LAMDA EXAM COACHING

We prepare students for exams in:

Our DBS checked LAMDA coaches are all professional, working actors who are also experienced acting coaches, trained at accredited drama schools. They bring real-world industry experience and expert guidance to every lesson, helping students develop both their skills and confidence.

Students receive personalised 1‑to‑1 or small group (3–4 students) coaching with specialist LAMDA tutors, covering the full syllabus from Introductory to Medal Grades. Each student benefits from tailored guidance to develop acting skills, build confidence, and prepare thoroughly for their exams.
 

We provide:
·      Experienced LAMDA coaches – professional actors trained at accredited drama schools
·      Access to LAMDA Anthologies for speech selection
·      Worksheets for exam introductions
·      Knowledge resource sheets covering 20% of exam marks
·      Support with exam paperwork and logistics
·      Most students sit their exams at LAMDA, Barons Court, London, and the majority achieve Distinction. We are proud to maintain a 100% pass rate. Medal Grades also contribute UCAS points for higher education applications.

1-to-1 & small group sessions

We work with schools to run weekly LAMDA classes, fitted around your timetable. Sessions can be 30–60 minutes during breaks, lunch, or in place of regular lessons. Group classes can run 30–90 minutes, with a maximum of 12 students, and can take place before school, during school, or after school.

 

Our DBS‑checked teachers are experienced in working with children of all ages.

DIRECTOR OF ELSF'S LAMDA EXAM PROGRAMME 

Ursula Early

The LAMDA programme is led by Ursula Early, Co-Artistic Director of ELSF’s professional touring company. A highly experienced acting coach and teacher, she also runs the ELSF Youth Theatre and has helped many young people achieve outstanding results in their LAMDA exams.

 

Ursula has Produced all ELSF's professional Shakespeare tours and co-directing their Community Casts. Alongside ELSF, she has been a professional actress for 20 years and has an extensive TV & theatre acting CV and trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

 

TV credits include: Eastenders, Doctors, The Bill, Life Begins. Theatre credits include: Please Right Back (1927), A Midsummer Nights Dream & Twelfth Night (ELSF), The Endings (Soho Theatre & Nottingham Playhouse), Powerhouse, Last Manor Standing and The Power Of Love (Pleasance Theatre), Wives As They Were Maids As They Are (Theatre Royal Bury St Edmund),, Guests (Hall For Cornwall), Master Of Mayhem (Eastern Angles), Diamond (Kings Head), The Glimmer (Bristol Old Vic Studio) and more.

 

Teaching/Facilitating:

Ursula is an experienced facilitator & has designed/delivered an extensive range of acting & drama workshops for theatre companies & acting courses and schools, including City Academy. She is currently on the professional development faculty of Dance Research Studio & teaches on their Professional Development Programme.
